NAIL VARNISH OVERLOAD

S.O... over the month of December I have suddenly spent more on nail varnishes than i have in a very long time... must be something about Christmas (there's a lot of sparkles)

These First four are all from Top Shop (not somewhere I normally buy nail vanishes from?!) but anyway onto the Haul...

Item 1

Called White Heart this is a mixture of Gold and silver sparkly bits (technical term i know) in a clear nail varnish. It dries remarkably quickly which was a pleasant surprise! This is perfect on its own or paired with another colour, using it as a top coat! its pretty long lasting and just a very pretty touch on you nails!

Price £6.00

Item 2

Called Drink Pink this is a bright and vibrant pink Matt Nail Varnish. This also is fast drying and last reasonably well. Its recommended to use a base coat and two coats of colour for the best result... but I'm way to lazy for that when it comes to my nails! but overall another good quality product.

Price £6.00

Item 3

Thirdly I Purchased Adrenalin pink which is made up of small and big sparkly Bits... (no idea what to call these!?) This almost has a disco ball look when on as it reflects in different colours which is such a cool look!

Price £6.00

Item 4

My final item from Topshop. I bought just a bog standard top and base coat! (exciting!) well I thought I would be good and do the whole base coat and two layers of colour thing... Overall its a nice nail varnish but you could just get one from anywhere really!

Price £6.00

Item 5

Next Lot are all from Barry M. Firstly I have Yet another glittery nail Varnish... Notice a theme yet?

This is from The Royal Textured Glitter Collection in shade TNP5 Pink Princess. A baby pink colour that is just adorable! the glitter texture is unlike all the other glitter types previous as it consists of little glitter pieces that all line up perfectly on your nails. Its fast drying and also comes in 4 other shades!

Price £3.99

Item 6

Next I chose A classic Matt Nail Paint In MNP4 Nude vanilla. This is a fast drying matt nail paint in a perfect nude almost lilac colour that gives your nail a little something but not too noticeable!

Price£3.99

Item 7

My final item I got for free as part of a deal in boots it a clear colour with silver and red sparky bits with stars and moon shapes. Its called moonlight and is just another sweet glitter top coat!

Unfortunately I have no idea what the price was (£3.99 maybe?)

There we have it my overload on nail varnishes ! hope you enjoyed <3

Item 4

When I was having a look around boots I saw a Christmas offer on L'Oreal Paris Make up when you spend £14.00 or more you get the Couture Gift set. And so I ended upbuying the L'oreal Paris Studio Secrets smoothing resurfacing primer so far I have loved this primer as its great for covering up spots, pores and uneven parts of my face (which I love). The product has a very creamy texture and I thought it was a silly small pot for a primer BUT a little goes a long way with this primer!

Item 5

The final Item I Bought on this Haul is the L'oreal Paris La Palette Nude in  01 Rose. This is just a wonderful pallet filled with 10 beautiful colours for a nude look. It came with the Volume million Lashes mascara, Colour Riche 461 Lipstick, Colour Riche Le Khol white eyeliner pencil and a Red Nail Polish ! These are all good products but out of all of them I would buy the Volume Million Lashes mascara again, in fact it might just replace my old favourite.

Sisters are bad Influences

S.O... as I mentioned before in my last post my sister came home last week and of course we had to have the obligatory shopping trip before the cinema trip!!

And of course because I have an obsession with make up Superdrug happened to be on that trip.

Item 1

For the past few weeks I have been looking to work on my eyebrows and on this shopping expedition I came across the Make up Academy Pro-Brow ultimate eyebrow kit (Fair). The Kit has 3 shades of powder and a highlighter to apply under the brow to give a finished look. Along with a mini tweezers and a double ended brush to help you perfect your brow. I found this product easy to use and as a relevant new comer to filling in my eyebrows I love that could jump straight into perfecting my eyebrows.

Price £3.50

Item 2

Now I have grown to love the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection and after experimenting with the Blake I went and got the Eva Pure Red. Now this one is a more orange in colouring in comparison to the Blake. Like my other matt red from this collection it have a great staying power and I highly recommend these to anyone and everyone!!!

Price £6.99

 Item 3

Not sure why but I just I can't get enough of red lips atm (might be my obsession with Taylor Swift) and so I have a wonderful deep red for you all. A well know favourite amongst many is the Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick Wine 107. A perfect matt lipstick with an intense velvet colour which was wonderful/spooky for Halloween But also an autumn/winter essential look. but surprisingly it smells sooo good! (not what you look for in a lipsick).

Price £5.49

Item 4

Now everyone needs a good natural eye shadow palette and mine has been recently been running out so I thought I would try a new a different one for a change. Beauty UK  is a brand I have never tried before an the Posh Palette Masquerade No.2 looked look full of great colours.

Price £5.99

Item 5

My last item in the haul is the Real techniques Nic's Picks collection. This group of 5 brushes comes in limited edition silver colour and is part of the Superdrug Christmas range.

Firstly The duo-fibre Face Brush. Perfect for application of face powder if you need a nice light weight coverage (not a powder face) and also works well for blending blusher and bronzer. The duo-fibre gives a lovely soft touch.

Secondly the Exclusive Cheek Brush. This brush if great for applying make up across the cheekbone helping to highlight and shape key features.

Next the Exclusive Angled Shadow Brush. For a while I have needed a brush to help me with my use of eye shadow and this is a great addition to the collection as it is perfectly cut to create layering in the crease off the eye lid simple.

Thirdly The Base Shadow Brush allows you to apply a base of eye shadow flawlessly but also great for blending and I think its a great addition to anyone's make up bag.

Lastly the Exclusive Eye liner Brush this makes the application on a gel liner easy and can also be used to apply eye shadow on the lower lash line to finish of a look.

Price £20.00

Love, Rosie

S.O.... this week was half term and my sister came to visit me back at home! After a long day shopping (you will see the results of that later) we went to the cinema to watch 'Love, Rosie'.
Now me being a huge fan of Lilly Collins I have been waiting for this movie to come out for quite a few months and it did not disappoint! It may even be my new favourite 'Chick Flick'.

The film is an adaptation of the 2004 book 'Where Rainbows End' by the Irish writer Cecelia Ahern. The story follows Rosie and Alex, who have been best friends since they were 5, on their journey through life where their choices lead them down different roads. This film has you on the edge of you seat with the 'will they/wont they' plot twist. It is an uplifting and at times funny film that shows the two friends transition from teenagers to adults whilst their lives change quite dramatically and at the same time trying to remain friends (sometimes crossing the line of friendship) but their different relationships keep getting in the way of their happy ending. Lilly Collins does not disappoint, she portrays the character of Rosie Dunne in her struggles through life. Her English accent throughout the film was just right along with her portrayal of an 18 year old to playing a 30 year old. Her overall performance was delightful. To top of the great cast list, Sam Claflin is looking as good as ever and plays the male lead of Alex Stewart. These two create the perfect couple with the undeniable chemistry and you just want them to end up together! The film also stars some wonderful supporting actor such as Tamsin Egerton, Suki Waterhouse, Christian Cooke and Jamie Winstone.

In short 'Love, Rosie' is the perfect chick flick that will have you laughing (so much I have never heard a cinema so loud), holding your breath in anticipation and tearing up because this movie is just so perfect and I highly recommend it !!! Grab your girls and some popcorn!

The Struggle of Pale Skin

S.O..... One problem I have always had is getting a foundation to match my skin colour! And because I am so pale, if I get the wrong shade I look like an oompa loompa (which is not a good look) and to top it off I have a more yellow toned skin meaning its even harder to find foundation to match my skin, as the majority of pale foundations are pink based.

On one of my fantastic trips to MAC, I asked for their expertise on what foundation I should use, where I found that I had the choice of two..... the lightest two they had! Although they were perfect shade wise, I just don't think I could justify spending £21.50 on Studio Fix Fluid Foundation every time !

So I went on a hunt in Superdrug and came across these three products which I think give me the perfect (pale) skin look!

Item 1

The Collection Lasting Perfection Liquid Concealer in 1-Fair. I had heard great things about this concealer and when I saw that it came in fair I just had to give it a go! It has a nice creamy texture and gives amazing coverage under the eyes and on blemishes. The colour is nice and light which helps to brighten up dark circles under the eyes. Overall I love this product as it is not got a red under tone meaning it doesn't produce an odd colouring !

Price £4.19

Item 2

Item number 2 in the Haul in the L'OrĂ©al Infallible Foundation Porcelain 15. I had been eyeing this foundation up for a while in my many trips to Superdrug and as I was searching for a new foundation how could I not buy it?!? When I was trying the different shades, I had a great conversation with one of the staff about my skin and after testing them out Porcelain seemed to be the one for me. Overall I am loving this foundation especially because of the coverage and creamy texture when you apply it to the skin (its a perfect budget alternative to the MAC foundation).

Price £9.99

Item 3

I love applying a powder over the top of my foundation to set it in place and because I have very oily skin I need something to counteract this. I have sampled a few powders but usually stick with the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder. However, for a change I thought I would try the Maybelline Matte Maker in Classic Ivory. This has a nice soft texture and leaves the skin lovely and matt, just what I wanted! Also the Maybelline is a fairer colour compared to the Rimmel so I will be sticking with this one for a while.

Price £3.99

These three items have been my staples for the last few weeks and I have found they created an even skin tone whilst matching the rest of me too (no more orange face wahoo!)
